Executive Coaching with Kelly Byrnes
When the pressure is real and the stakes are high, clarity and confidence are not optional. They are what separates fine leaders from those who define a generation.
Who This is For
Senior leaders come to this work for different reasons. Some are navigating a transition, a new role, a board relationship, or a significant shift in what the business requires of them. Some are performing well by every measure and want to go further. Some are dealing with something they cannot fully name yet.
What they share is this: they are at a level where the standard advice does not fit, the stakes of getting it wrong are real, and they need a thinking partner who has actually been in the room.
VCG works with CEOs, founders, C-suite executives, and senior leaders across financial services, healthcare, technology, and professional services. Engagements are one-on-one and built around what you are actually facing, not a standard curriculum.
How Coaching with Kelly Works
Three principles shape every engagement:
01
Values alignment first.
Sustained leadership performance starts with clarity on what you actually believe and what the organization requires. When those are misaligned, no amount of skill development closes the gap. Every engagement begins here.
02
A focus on the present and future.
Most coaching spends significant time analyzing the past. This work focuses on what you can change, starting now. Kelly brings a deep and practical toolkit so that every session produces something you can apply.
03
Attention on your key stakeholders.
The best indicator of whether leadership is changing is whether the people closest to you experience it. Throughout the engagement, their perspective is part of the picture. That keeps the work grounded in reality rather than self-perception.
What Leaders Experience
As the engagement progresses, leaders consistently report sharper thinking under pressure, stronger influence with boards and peers, more confident decision-making, and a clearer sense of what they are building and why.
The outcomes range from promotions and successful transitions to turnaround performance, stronger team dynamics, and burnout recovery. The common thread is that something that was stuck starts moving.
"I believe I understand better what is meant by Leadership. I also think I have grown and gotten better at listening, am more empathetic, and am willing to tackle the tough questions and decisions. "

"I want to thank you for all your encouragement and leadership! You truly are fulfilling your vision of being in service to others by effectively making those you touch a better overall leader and ultimately a better person. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your insight and support. "
Chris W.

"Kelly blends the humanistic encouragement and skilled candor perfectly in her coaching style. This style is effective - she does not only helps me become more self-assured and more intentional in leveraging my strengths, but also challenges me to ask myself hard questions and confront my blind spots. More from the field
"Kelly knows how business works. So you can rest easy knowing that her approach is realistic. Kelly was able to help me navigate around the pitfalls of dealing with troubled employees. Kelly did more than just listen—she gave me a different perspective on the situation and had an effective way to change the problem. She knows what motivates people and how to inspire fresh thinking. Since then, I’ve found myself consulting my notes from her coaching sessions for advice. Truly worthwhile stuff. "

"Kelly influences others in a good way and people seek her out for her ideas and guidance on a variety of things; personal growth, insight into problem situations, knowledge of special functions, e.g. sales/marketing, etc. Kelly is an extremely valuable resource and is a joy to work with. She is truly one of the most talented individuals I have worked with in my very long career. "
Linda E.
Head of HR, Global Scientific and Tech Company
"Kelly was a strong referral from one of the senior executives when I left a company. She not only helped me successfully navigate a career transition, but she also helped me get my life back together. She came through for me again when another move was warranted later. Kelly helped me regain my confidence, which enabled me to negotiate well for the next job and salary. I was promoted in less than a year and continue to take on more responsibilities and love it. Kelly helped me build resilience, move forward, and have the confidence I need to be the best leader I can be!"
Micaela L.
Director, Top 100 University
"Kelly is an incredibly enthusiastic coach. She is an invested listener during coaching sessions that allows her to provide thoughtful and sincere recommendations. I find her approach remarkably effective with a conversational style that naturally incorporates new or alternative leadership techniques. She is very mindful on how she brings in personal experiences that are relevant to the discussion without the focus of the discussion turning to be a story about herself which I have experienced with other mentors or coaches. "
Jamie W.
Surgeon, Vice Chair of Clinica Affairs
"Kelly understands that in today's world, when almost everything you do can be copied by your competitors, it is your people that provide the competitive advantage. She is a high trust leader that knows how to develop leaders and a workforce like few others do. What an amazing person! "
Jonathon J.
Senior Client Partner, Professional Services Firm
"Kelly is a tremendous inspiration as an executive coach. She has an uncanny ability to recognize strengths in people and give them little quips of motivation. She gets to know you as a person and utilizes that connection to bring out a few aspects of what you think are holding you back and points out the flashes of desirable strengths in areas you may think you are weak. When discussing with Kelly that I did not feel like I was a good leader she was able to point out examples she observed and helped me see strengths I did not see in my leadership abilities. "
Dave O.
Senior Cybersecurity Leader
"As time progressed, it became clear that despite my countless presentations on nonprofit topics, I felt ill-equipped to deliver the caliber of experience that I hoped for. Thankfully my Executive Coach, Kelly Byrnes, helped me create a framework that underpinned the points I wanted to deliver to the audience. Although she couldn't be present, her presence was felt as the hours of practice and revisions paid off. Thank you Kelly! "
Sidney S.
Chief Operating Officer, Nonprofit Organization
"Kelly was kind, encouraging, and helped me gain new insights into possibilities for my future. With her wisdom and guidance, I have been able to identify and articulate my goals, creating a stepwise plan to achieve them. Kelly is an excellent coach! She listens empathetically and asks probing questions to promote new ways of thinking. She consistently exhibits compassion and encourages her clients, yet successfully helps them create new opportunities. "
